You can use peel and stick wallpaper. Just like wallpapering walls
peel and stick wallpaper would be easier to remove if you decide to and easier to apply too but you could also paint the door

Sorry but I never heard of a slab door before. Even goggled it and nothing.
Keep in mind that it will be difficult to keep the edges of the wallpaper from catching, lifting off, and ripping. An easier-to-maintain alternative to wallpapering the entire door is to put wallpaper in the centre of the door only, then make a frame around by adding molding.
