Hi there Ruth,
First acquire your window. Lay it flat on a suitable surface where you can work on it. Either Draw freehand a design or stick a design you would like to copy to the back of the window. Draw the outline with marker pen. Then start to stick the mosaics to the glass using the tile laying fixative. When happy and it is dry, then fill the gaps with the grout. and buff up.
