My husband and I are looking for an area to build our dream farm home, we found an area of 2000 m2, but with aprox. 09 m2 of height and depth of 70 m2. Is it possible and feasible? Or wil it be a big headache? Thank you! Isabelle

If you plan to build into this hill it may be just what you want; I don't know your home plan nor is metrics my native math unit.

Half of the basement can be buried into the ground and therefore you will have a reverse hillside type of house. It is not challenging and you can save a lot of money because you will only have to buy half the cement needed to put in the basement. The rest can be wood construction. You need to get a home plan together. Some people where I live are buying the homes pre-assembled and therefore all you need is to move the completed house onto the basement (You would have to use a crane to do so).
