Susan E on Sep 12, 2015Not knowing how wide the cracks are, you might try filling with 1/4" wood strips. I found some at Home Depot, about 8' long. Use a strong glue, like Gorilla Glue to make sure the strips are secure, and make sure they are level or below grade so they won't be scuffed out of place by big clown feet.Helpful Reply

Z on Sep 12, 2015Photos would help. Seeing the style of your home, how the porch is used (is it enclosed or just covered?) would help immensely.Helpful Reply

Anna on Sep 14, 2015You say the porch is old. It must be really old because wood under cover usually lasts a lot longer than say a wood deck. Remember that wood rots after time. It might just be time to replace the wood. If that is financially not possible, I would at least replace the planks that are the worst. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Cheryl on Sep 17, 2015I've had same problem with lake house we just bought. Didn't want to spend a ton of money replacing boards at this time since there were many so we went to paint store (Lowes has it also) and bought the really thick exterior paint that helps fill in majority of the cracks. Tell them what you want to do and they should be able to help you with it. Worked great for us!Helpful Reply
