My dishwasher leaves food (crumbs) on dishes, especially on the top rack inside glasses. Any suggestions?

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Nov 15, 2011Sounds as though the arms and spray heads are plugged with hard water and soap. We had the same issues with our machine and started using finish dishwasher performance booster which is a powdered additive you place into the bottom of the washer before you being the wash cycle. It has removed all the white film in the machine, the glasses come out as though the machine is new again. Not all stores carry it so you may have to look around. If indeed the arms and spray heads are plugged this will after a few washings help remove this from happening. http://www.teebop.com/cgi-bin/item/RB38210Helpful Reply

Shane Tallant on Nov 15, 2011I believe the portion (arm) that spins can accumulate particles and get gummed up. It should be able to be removed and cleaned.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Nov 16, 2011Shane I thought that as well. But the screen filter on bottom of machine should pick that up as its pretty fine. At least that was my experience with ours at home. I took everything apart and all I saw was hardened soap and water residue. Cleaned and worked fine for about a week. However once I used the Finish booster it all cleared up within two washings.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Nov 20, 2011I was thinking about this yesterday when I purchased dish soap. Sorry it did not work for you. It sounds as though something else must be wrong. Keep us posted. Have you tried a different cleaning cycle? We had a machine once many years ago the standard cycle stopped working through its entire cycle. The work around until we could afford to fix it was to run it on heavy duty cycle or light wash. Both of those appeared to clean the dishes ok. Beware of the repair. If its not a simple repair the cost can easily go over the cost of a new unit. So be sure to get the costs written down first before the repair person makes the repair.Helpful Reply
