What is the best lighting for my pergola?

      Ah, it would take a lot of LED lights for that. You could add an out door rated chandelier for over the table for dining and just use the string lights for ambience after dinner.

    My first thought was hurricane candle holders, but then I thought LED rope lights. The latter is the best if you want a lot of light, for task, reading, etc... They use very little power, and put out a lot of light.

    There are many options available for lighting however this will depend how much light you would like.

    My daughter uses solar rope lightning and it works great.

    I bought a wonderful SOLAR hanging lamp from WalMart; the light is soft--just enough--and it looks very nice.

    I think I would like to see a repurposed chandelier, maybe using candles and mason jars in the center above a table and some small string lights around the pergola for "mood" lighting.
