Modern Vintage Kitchen Makeover

The Sweet Escape
by The Sweet Escape
It was about time my kitchen got an update. It wasn't horrible (see Before pic below) but it was dated and not my style. Without a budget to totally gut it, I gave it a big makeover instead. You won't believe the transformation!

Without any major renos this kitchen was totally transformed into a fresh and stylish modern vintage space. The cupboards were professionally spray painted and turned out amazing. A whole new set of cupboards in any color I like for a small price.
Here's the before. Can you believe the transformation?! The only kitchen design was great but the beachwood cabinets and laminate counters were just standard inexpensive options that came with the condo when it was build 15 years ago.
There a few DIY projects involved with this makeover. One was converting the shelves above the sink into some open shelving.
Another DIY project was creating the waterfall butcher block countertop for the island.

Your kitchen is gorgeous with a capital G! The colors you picked work beautifully together, so retro and yet so modern. Kudos! We are adding this to our kitchen board.
