From Ragged to FAB!

I picked up this chair to use Heirloom Traditions Paint's new FAB product on it. Its a fabric primer & sealer. YES, You can paint fabric. No diluted paint, spray bottle or waxing. You just prime the fabric with FAB & once dry...paint the fabric. Oh, and ONE coat is all it took!
I had plans of hand painting some flowers on this chair but once I started painting with Heirloom's 'Irish Cream', the fabric reminded me of a white cable knit sweater. I just had to play into that look by painting a grain sack stripe with Heirloom's paint colors in 'Kingdom Gold' (which I darkened up with Black bean) & 'Espresso' (also darkened witn Black bean). The chair body was painted with 'Black Bean' & wet distressed. Sealed with Hemp Oil. One final coat of FAB over the fabric and its done!
Original fabric was dingy & dirty. It screamed "paint me pretty"!
One coat of FAB, let dry & one coat of paint.
Painted the body in HTP Black Bean, wet distressed & Hemp oil to seal.
Frog tape to make the grain sack stripes.
Was-Laa...from ragged to FAB!
The fabric is so smooth and pretty! Little firmer than original feel to the fabric but very durable.
I'm glad I went with these color for the stripes. Wanted it to be different than your every day grain sack stripped chair.
Perfect mix of textures.
Come sit!
