Welcome Fall Window

This hand painted vintage window makes a creative welcome to Fall. Vinyl letters were first added to the glass and then painted over with white pumpkins. Once the paint was dry, the letters were removed to reveal the word, WELCOME.
I am fortunate enough to know contractors who give me windows. It doesn't get much better than free! After a good cleaning, vinyl letters from the craft store were added to the glass.
Using acrylic paint, I hand painted pumpkins on the glass making sure to cover the letters. If this window was going to be used outside, I would have used enamel paint.
The letters were removed after the paint dried.
Of course, the letters could also be hand painted on top of the pumpkins, but using this technique, it allows you to be able to see through the letters.
Welcome Fall! This window is sitting on my mantel but could easily be hung on a wall by adding hooks to the back.
