Jonnie Hammon on Sep 27, 2015Empty the pond, then repair the hole, or put in a new liner, then return everything to the pond. Remove the plant with the aggressive root growth with a plant that doesn't have the aggressive root growth.Helpful Reply

Bonny McDaniel on Sep 29, 2015My question would be: what kind of tree? Some, like a fruitless mulberry, will always be invading the pond. If it is a small area, perhaps you could put a layer of concrete under the pond liner and that might stop any tree that has a good tap root. But trees with a lot of surface roots will find a way to the water...the drought has made it worse, of course.Helpful Reply
