Autumn Inspired Dresser

I found a great dresser while out and about a few weeks ago. It was a little dinged up but other than that, in great condition. I decided to give it an autumn inspired makeover! More on www.thepainteddrawer.com
Here is the before. The dresser is a great size and the drawers are large for ample storage.
I also really liked the original hardware.
I used General Finishes Somerset Gold milk paint on the body. It is a warm mustard yellow color and looks great with the hardware.
I distressed the details and added a touch of gold paint to add some style. It looks pretty against the yellow paint.
One more close-up of the detail.
I sanded the wood top back and exposed the gorgeous grain.
I then stained it in a deep walnut that plays off the warmth of the paint color well.
Perfect colors for fall!

I usually just read the comments and sometimes click "mark as helpful" but I have to say that this has been done sooooo nicely! It's perfect, really! I love the touch of gold over everything else, wow. And not painting the top, and staining it a darker wood is the best idea! I am so impressed :-D
