Tomi Belgard on Sep 28, 2015We built a small cabin to serve as my "craft room". I used instant coffee crystals to stain the pine ladder, and trim on the inside. Do a test of what "darkness" you want your wood to be on a small piece of pine, try to get a piece with different textures i.e. knotholes etc. add crystals to small amount of hot water until you get the right color. You can use a sponge brush or clean cotton rag to apply. Let it thoroughly dry and if you want to you can spray varnish it, either Matt" or Glossy". This will seal the stain. Have fun.Helpful Reply

Z on Oct 02, 2015Carla, it would really help to see your kitchen in order to come up with ideas that could work for you. Also what type of coffee maker do you use? Do you grind your own coffee or need a place to store those little Kcups? Do you use a variety of powdered creamers? Do you want your mugs on display or hidden away?Helpful Reply
