Is carpeting coming back in style?

Janet Pizaro on Sep 29, 2015Hardwood never will run its popularity. Instead of doing a carpet install, I would put a area carpet down. New homeowners tend to replace carpeting based on there own style so honestly you would be wasting your money.Helpful Reply

Christina Braatz on Sep 29, 2015I agree with Janet. Hardwood is almost always a favorite. We recently tore out all our carpeting in our home. Luckily we had beautiful hardwood floors underneath all the carpet.Helpful Reply

Sue Sanders on Sep 30, 2015Carpet can hold so many germs and dirt where hardwood you can see that you got all the dust, etc. removed. Great for people with allergies and lung conditions. If you want to add area rug to part of it to add to decor that would be possible and could be changed when you redecorate. I'm no longer a fan of wall to wall carpet and hope to remove carpet from my dining room and replace with wood floor with maybe an area rug under the table for the chairs to be on to save maring the floor and add decor. Easier to clean around the baseboards with you have wood floor.Helpful Reply

Jonnie Hammon on Oct 09, 2015I seriously hope not. They are murder on people with asthma, and allergies. They release toxic chemicals into the air, hold dust, dirt, etc..., and vacuums can never get it all up. Area rugs is the way to go. Wood floors, that do not need refinishing, tempts most buyers, when it comes time to sell.Helpful Reply
