Margaret E on Oct 02, 2015I do this all the time - I affix the fabric with white glue - messy but it results in a very sturdy storage container. Most of the boxes I've used have started out as boxes from the snacks bought for the kitchen where I work. , Since they have brightly colored designs on the outside, I've put a layer of white (muslin, old sheets, etc) fabric on the outside first, then the "designer" fabric. I've also covered a box in vinyl, using white glue, also resulting in a very sturdy container.Helpful Reply

Debby Carver on Oct 02, 2015I have used wallpaper paste and newspaper to make bookshelves out of copier paper boxes - they were so strong, I could stand on them. I painted them so the newspaper print didn't matter. I used these while in college for text books.Helpful Reply
