Can I add a fireplace/heater that was made for the wall to a tv stand?

Janet Pizaro on Oct 06, 2015If the outside of the heater is cool to the touch,I dont see any reason why you could not do that.Helpful Reply

Z on Oct 06, 2015I agree with Janet, but to be on the safe side, and that's always a good idea in situations like this, call the manufacturer and ask. If you can't get a hold of them and there's any doubt, at all, don't do it. You and your family members lives are worth more than a neat looking fireplace TV stand combo, which I'm sure is why you asked before going ahead with the project.Helpful Reply

Linda Johnson on Oct 06, 2015You can buy fireplace/TV stands at places like Big Lots. If you're making a stand around a fireplace, I'd use fire proof materials (Cement board, etc.) Call the manufacturer first before you do anything. We have a propane heater on our wall, where we could insert it into an existing fireplace, we would never build it in. (We live out in the country. It's used in power outages. It's easier to use and maintain then a wood stove.)Helpful Reply
