What kinda chalk paint would I use? Do I sand it? What kind of tool or sand paper should I use?

Abby, by what I've heard you don't have to do any prep work when using chalk paint, though if the chairs are chippy paint, I'd at least lightly sand them in those locations. Just about everyone has their own version of chalk paint anymore, from the originators to the big box home improvement stores and Walmart and Target. I'd go with the brand that has the color you want because each brand has a very limited amount of color. You can even make your own with latex paint. I added a link below to those that have made their own here on Hometalk. http://www.hometalk.com/search/posts?filter=DIY%20chalk%20paint
