CliqStudios on Oct 05, 2015Hi Diane. There are a couple of issues that you may want to check. First, Krys is correct that you may be able to adjust your hinges to fix the issue. Second, try running a dehumidifier to pull some of the moisture out of the air in that area. In humid conditions -- or where the wood has been freshly painted -- the wood in your cabinets can swell enough that that doors no longer close properly. The swelling may not be visibly noticeable other than the closing problem. If you think this may be the issue, make sure the area with the cabinets is well ventilated and try running a dehumidifier. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Diane on Oct 05, 2015Call me lazy but I didn't take the doors off of the cabinets so the hinges were untouched. However, I'll still check on that.Helpful Reply

Diane on Oct 05, 2015I'll try the dehumidifier too. It's been a couple of months since I have painted them. Would this still work?Helpful Reply

Stephanie Fudge on Oct 06, 2015If they are upper cabinets you might take the doors completely off. I recently removed mine next to my stove and it's my all time fav change I have made so far and may remove even more.Helpful Reply

Valerie Bradshaw on Oct 09, 2015By any chance did you just paint one side of the cabinet doors? Doing so may effect how the wood expands and contracts and warp the doors.Helpful Reply

Duv310660 on Oct 10, 2015If they close but don't stick, maybe try installing those cupboard magnets. If you already have those, they may need to be readjusted to 'catch'Helpful Reply

Susan Bechamp on Oct 11, 2015I have the same problem. We painted our cabinets a few weeks ago. I reused the same hinges and the same holes they were mounted on before. Four of the larger doors are warped a bit. I'll try the magnetic catch suggestion.Helpful Reply
