I put a stencil on a laminate desk, is there anyway I can seal it so it won't come off? Thank you for your help.

I would try a water based poly sealer. This will be a little glossy so it is suggested to seal the whole piece of furniture.

I do not believe so test in a hidden area if you are not sure.

Minwax water based polycrylic as Janet mentioned is what I use, it doesn't yellow but even the satin finish is glossy so I would agree that the whole piece get a few light coats

It is my understanding you can use a water based poly that is dull. Somebody sells it but can't remember who. You can wax it too but when I did that to a graphic it kind of smeared the graphic. How did you do yours? I traced my stencil using graphite paper and used a magic marker to apply it. Yours looks great! I would appreciate your how to.

Hi, I bought the water base poly today in a spray at Home Depo. I'm going to spray the stencil in the morning. I will let you know how it turns out. I used a stencil I ordered from Home Depo and I also used Chalk paint to put the stencil on, as chalk paint sticks to everything.

I used Minwax water based spray and it worked wonderful. I only had to do the front where the stencil is and you could not tell the difference on the rest of the desk. I thank everyone for your help. Linda
