Burn marks in bathroom

Question

I have some burn marks on my bathroom sink vanity.  I have only used a white sponge to try to remove them.  I was afraid to scratch the porcelain. The sponge lessened the marks-but they are still there & HIDEOUS! I really don't want to have to replace it. Not so worried about scratches-- I JUST WANT THEM GONE! Any thoughts?

It looks like what you have is cultured marble with integrated sinks. They are very common in bathrooms. If that is the case I imagine the magic sponge would eventually remove all the stain, but it would be easier using a damp wet/dry fine sandpaper. Once they stain is gone I recommend you polish the surface with Liquid Gel Gloss to protect those areas from more easily staining in the future. http://www.homedepot.com/b/Gel-Gloss/Liquid/N-5yc1vZ3mbZ1z0w0lj

Try using a paste made out of baking soda. Leave it on for awhile to help bring the stain hopefully to the surface.Then spray white vinegar on.Use a mild soap and water and wipe.Hopefully this will do the trick.

I had this same problem.  Get fine steel wool and rub it out.  This will also help with scratches.
