What to do with buffet top

I have acquired a very big and HEAVY top for a buffet with no bottom half. There are 4 glass doors with lights and shelving in oak and good condition. Any suggestions on what I could make or use this for?
Apologize for quality of photo.but the piece is buried behind a bunch of old heavy furniture in storage

how about transforming the top to a wall hutch and attach the doors and lights.

Julie, another Hometalker just asked about this so I copy and pasted my comment to her below about adding legs to the bottom. Just make sure there's enough support on the bottom of the hutch that four legs will hold the weight of the piece. If it's not a solid piece of wood or plywood, I'd recommend adding wood to it so it doesn't collapse under its weight in the future. Since a hutch is meant to set on top of the solid top of the buffet below it, they are not always made with the added support needed to stand on legs.

I made a glass cabinet out of mine by adding feet. I made the feet out of the ends that you put on wooden curtain dowels. By putting two together it made the cabinet the perfect height. I put five legs on to support the weight.

I had one... bought at auction w/o looking closely. Bottom was firewood! I used the top as a faux 'fireplace' surround... putting one of my small, electric 'woodstoves' on the floor then using the buffet top as a mantle, around it.

I come across these tops on Craigslist for next to nothing and add feet.... Great storage!

Julie, I'm in the process of doing one now. I am going to attach it to a dresser which doesn't really match in style but I have painted them both with matching chalky paint and when I put them together and add matching hardware, I think they are going to look great!

I needed a queen-sized headboard, so that's what I did with mine. It didn't have glass doors, just shelves (and drawers at the bottom so they don't show). I put photos on the top and books on the shelves. It looks great!
