Colleen Walpert on Oct 08, 2015It looks like tall garden phlox (not to be confused with creeping phlox) I have some in S. Missouri that are perennials. You might try saving the seed if it goes to seed later this fall.Helpful Reply

Sarah A. Victory on Oct 11, 2015It reminds me of the annual Vinca flower that I usually buy at the nursery. They are good bloomers and continue to branch until they are quite showy. I always used them in front of the shrub row as an accent. They come in several colors. However they are usually a bigger, dark green leafed annual.Helpful Reply
