Chipped varnish on night stand
Due to constant use of my nightstand, the varnish on top is cracked and dry and looks bad. It's dark cherry and you can see the wood from the chips. How do I make my nightstand look new again?

Mine did the same thing. I sanded the tops of both nightstands and re varnished them.

Lightly sand with a fine textured piece of paper.Clean off any excess residue and proceed to finish with the same finish that is on your other furniture.

I lightly sand, then use Howards Furniture Stain and fine steel wool. Blends in well and hides minor imperfections.
