This is my St likes purple plum tree. It is about 6 months planted in my yard. Should I trim this time of year?

Walter Reeves on Nov 27, 2011Is the a reason to trim it? 'St Lukes' plum typically looks like yours: short trunk and bushy top. It will naturally lose all of it's leaves in a few weeks.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Nov 28, 2011If you a looking to improve the shape of the crown, Vicky, you should wait until right after the tree flowers to prune.Helpful Reply
