During the day I could barely see the flames, but at night, it was beautiful.

Today's Creative Life- Kim Demmon on Sep 28, 2016I mention in the original post that I filled mine with pea gravel and topped with the rocks. Yes, they can be spendy. I also mention that you can just use pea gravel. I also have a link to the fire glass showing the cost. This was never instructed as an inexpensive diy project. I hope you at least enjoy your creation.

Big8079065 on Sep 29, 2016Since I did use sand for the larger portion of it, it wasn't that pricey. I guess I didn't recall the pea gravel part. If something happens more than 5 minutes ago, there's a good chance it will slip my teflon coated mind. It was also an issue b/c I used such a large pot (I'm planning on putting a couple of sternos in the bowl.) But it looks great.
