Kathy Kinney on Oct 12, 2015If the top is solid wood, it can be reclaimed with a belt sander, following the grain of the wood, then using a scraper, carefully, to make the top satin smooth. Work yes, but if it is a good piece of furniture. If it is an antique, the antique value is already gone (from the prior sanding) but if it is solid, you can still have a fine piece of furniture.Helpful Reply
