We were moving to South Carolina on the 29th of September when the floods hit an hour allied moving van turned around in Columbia South Carolina and took our whole house belongings back to Atlanta because the highway roads were impassable...I-20 E to I-26E to Charleston. They plan to try again on Oct 14. Does anyone know if the highway system has been repaired enough for a large Allied Van Lines truck to make it through?? Is there another route a big truck like that could take to get our stuff to Charleston from Atlanta?

CraftingStuff on Oct 11, 2015I live in Sumter, SC and this is where we are getting our information right now. http://www.scdot.org/getting/StormResources.aspx The SC dept of transportation site should have all the information on the roads you would need. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply

Currently, overall, main traffic lanes are fine. secondary roads & infrastructure is biggest concerns now in the Dorchester County area.
