How to make storage for stuffed animals but still displayed

Darla on Oct 11, 2015There are "cargo nets" but those are up off the floor. You can make "cages" for them with bungee cords and a cabinet or bookcase. http://colormob5k.com/stuffed-animal-storage-tower-41766/ http://www.staticnoyze.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Adorable-also-interesting-also-impressive-and-nice-and-new-also-modern-and-awesome-and-amazing-hanging-stuffed-animal-storage-idea-615x411.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3iAXVuQtCHg/T10Ftk8m-gI/AAAAAAAAG9o/pxvxcKeecLI/s1600/untitled+(23+of+23).jpgHelpful Reply

Lovelly Ideas on Oct 11, 2015Saw the cutest idea ever ... take a deep bookcase without the shelves or even take 2x2 and just make the frame of a box. Then, here's the magic... drill holes every 6" or so on the top and bottom and attach bungee cords. It makes a cute little zoo! Amy Ranney on Oct 11, 2015I bought a plastic chain from The Container Store for stuffed animals. It hangs in the corner of my daughters room next to her bed, there's a bunch of clips on it so you can hang up all the animals and she has access to them whenever she wants. Takes up hardly any space.Helpful Reply

Susan on Oct 11, 2015The cargo net is a good idea and it can be lowered to her level so she has access to them and can easily put them up without having to spend a lot of time doing soHelpful Reply

Z on Oct 12, 2015My first thought was the bungee type storage units. Another idea would be to convert an old hutch into a shelf with a bin on the bottom. I cannot find an example picture, but it would look something like this picture of two bookcases. Which shows you could also do this idea with book cases.Helpful Reply

Debi53 on Oct 13, 2015I have found that that children are more likely or able to put things away if the storage is super simple. Walmart carries pop-up laundry baskets in pretty bright colors that would allow her to simply toss her animals in to store. The bins are light weight so she can dump her animals out on the floor. Because they are rectangles, you could put more than one side by side or tuck one in a corner or beside a dresser. They cost under $20.Helpful Reply
