Can I redo my bathroom vanity top sink myself?

Dee on Oct 11, 2015I had the same problem and there is no way to fix cracks in the sink. If it is cultured marble, you can try to sand the cracks down. I went to Habitat for Humanity and they had bathroom sink vanity tops really inexpensive. I ended up with granite and it was under $100.Helpful Reply

Cindy c on Oct 11, 2015have you thought about redoing the countertop and then using one of the beautiful bowl sinks that they have available now? Seems you could do any number of ways to redo the countertop. paint the existing, tile and seal with decorative self stick ceramic look tiles, etc. put your thinking cap on , go to pinterest and go Crazy!Helpful Reply

Jonnie Hammon on Oct 12, 2015Liquid porcelain, can fill the cracks, if it is at least covered in porcelain, or is ceramic. Anything else, you'll have to do away with the sink. For older sinks, your best bet, would be a salvage yard. It's definitely the cheaper way to go.Helpful Reply

Tracy B on Oct 12, 2015I ran into this problem when I bought a wrong-shaped replacement sink. Sure, I could have returned it, but I liked the sink. Instead, I found some complementary tile (8 x 8), and cut the right sized hole, then tiled the vanity counter top. The tile had finished edges so I could make the tile overlap slightly and then cut tile for the edging. I can add a photo once I have the plumbing for the sink done.Helpful Reply
