When I started designing our son's nursery, I knew I wanted to DIY as much as I could. I love creating things and making decor for our little guy's room seemed like a win-win! One large area we knew we needed to overhaul was the closet. See the full DIY tutorial here!: http://thisisourbliss.com/2015/03/03/nursery-closet-details/
First, we removed the terrible wire shelving (which didn't even go the entire width of the closet)...
then we removed the doors...
we then painted the inside lime green and installed an IKEA PAX unit with some additional shelves and clothing rods using large dowel rods.
The bars were placed on rod holders which were drilled into pieces of painted plywood which were drilled into the sides of the closet.
The shelves rested on the top of the plywood pieces on the outer sides and then rested on pegs on the inner side along the middle unit.
cute bins & baskets for storage & organization....
Every nook & cranny was labeled and accessorized to the 9's. Even little boys need to have a dream closet :)
