If you are a fan of country or cottage style decor then you probably have a plethora of vintage kitchen items that you have found on numerous trips to flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores. Kitchens are the heart of the home and no retro style kitchen would be complete without a few collectibles. If you kitchen is small you may have to get a little creative to find ways to display your treasures.
Remove the doors of some upper cabinets to create open shelving. You could also cut out the middle of the doors and add chicken wire to make a country display space for your favorite dishes. If you have it, the space above cabinets is great real estate for vintage kitchen finds.
Painted cabinets and hutches are great for displaying milk glass, cook books and other wares.
Hang a few shelves for displaying your country treasures. Hang shelves above doorways and above windows to create more display space if you need it. For more ideas on how to display your own vintage kitchen collectibles please visit my blog and website.

Issaac @ Practicing ImPerfection on Oct 13, 2015I cut out the middle of my upper cabinets and put in some chicken wire in a recent kitchen renovation. It looks pretty neat!
