Suggestions for WALL Mounted, WIRED Carbon Monoxide Detectors into ADT Pulse system?
-
SLS Construction & Building Solutions LLC on Feb 24, 2013Uh you should still be able to mount it on the wall - the biggest catch is will it talk to their system Along those lines, shouldn't replacement sensors be covered under the contract Heh it wouldn't be one of their recalled ones, would it? http://www.securityinfowatch.com/news/10481715/adt-issues-recall-for-carbon-monoxide-detectorHelpful Reply

Midlantic Contracting LLC / Midlantic Electric Inc on Feb 25, 2013Smoke/CO detectors normally last 7-10 years and that's usually because of the dust collection factor. Is your 5 year info coming from ADT? I'm not familiar with ADT equipment. I would check with them and see if you could purchase directly from them. You would probably pay extra because of the proprietary name but you would get an exact fit unit designed for their system.Helpful Reply

Jim Ginas on Feb 25, 2013@ Glassboro, thanks. I do have an ADT electrician coming and will insist they don;t charge for the visit, and maybe not for the unit, as it very well could be the Recall unit SLS suggested. NO MARKINGS for make or model number. I pulled the cover to check, unless it's on the wall side. (ADT owes me since Dec 2011 an Electric Wall Light Switch also, documented in August 2012, at no cost. Local ADT office is HORRIBLE.) Thanks again.Helpful Reply

Jim Ginas on Mar 06, 2013ADT is like may companies! from a General Sales (National) office, very good. from my local Norfolk, VA office - split - Servicemen and electricians is OUTSTANDING, from the office that implements - TERRIBLE..... they ONLY finished up 2 days ago a switch they've owed me since Dec 2011, and that was after an Aug 2012 delivery of the 2nd pad, per contract (due Dec 2011 ALSO and delivered 9 months later!). One office explained how the other office in the same building ALWAYS has problems. BOTTOM Line: Carbon Monoxide Detector worked from National Office and IMMEDIATE. Local office - Install Manager - TERRIBLE!Helpful Reply
