Does anyone have any advice or knowledge about rain/water resistant covers for outdoor chairs? I am a novice sewer but love the look of $400.00 waterproof vinyl chairs, but do not have the budget for something of that cost. Anyone with ideas...??

Valerie on Oct 18, 2015I have covered mine with oil cloth, and it has stood up to the rain. Its cheap and comes in some lovely designs, but it is difficult to sew.Helpful Reply

Jenifermacfarland on Oct 19, 2015Have you thought about Sunbrella or other indoor/outdoor fabric? If you use it you also have to use outdoor foam so the water goes right through the cushion. No fading or staining though.Helpful Reply

Sophie Breau on Oct 25, 2015I would look for free or used ones in decent shape, then spray paint the fabric with a weather resistant paint... I found some at an auto body shop ;)Helpful Reply
