I Saw It Online & Recreated It

My WHITE KitchenAid mixer before I started. Just after I bought my mixer KitchenAid began to come out with COLORS! In the beginning I wanted a PINK one, but I had this color left over from painting some picture frames, so I went with it!
Take as much of the chrome and stuff off as you can. This is a good time to give it a GOOD cleaning!
As much of the chrome taken off as I could get off. The side knobs, cord, stationary screws, and the 'collar' had to be taped over. I found it easier to cut circles to fit over the screws and things I didn't want painted, and then tape them on to fit.
I made two or three light coats of color, taking time to let it completely dry in between coats, then waited until the next day to spray a clear coat over the color. Then I added stickers to customize my mixer and added on a couple more clear coats...
Front view with the top tilted back.
The back side of the top. This is the actual color....
This is a view of the left side.
The right side. I used to keep my KitchenAid mixer stored under a cabinet, but now I have it sitting right out on my kitchen bar. I love it!

Amy Powers on Apr 23, 2016First of all, I was not shaming. I did not say one word positive or negative. I thought it was a perfectly brilliant solution. Just time consuming. Donna and Bonnie, your comments were meant to be ugly. Nancy, your response was kind and I hope someone blesses you. Keep being creative. And I still believe we all can volunteer where you are, with what you have, when you can. #payitforward This post was written in 1 minute after I volunteered. #myhouseismadeofexamples
