Becky Greenwald on Oct 26, 2015One box at a time. Weird as it sounds. Try to get the boxes out of the middle of everything, line edges of rooms and hallways and just get busy. It's exhausting but you can do it!Helpful Reply

GrandmasHouseDIY on Oct 26, 2015Agree with the first comment, one box at a time. If you have a helper, open the box, figure out what's in it and have your helper take the box to the room it will belong in. If you run into a box that stumps you (say something that will need storage later etc.) designate a spot for those boxes and tuck them there until you get the rest of it done.Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Oct 29, 2015One box at a time, no two ways about it. If you are retired, it is a big plus, so you can take your time and not get stressed. It sounds like you have a lot of stuff. This may be a good time to pare down your belongings. As you unpack a box make three piles it at all possible: one pile for stuff to keep, one pile for stuff to give away and one pile for stuff to throw out. The result will be a cleaner and more efficient house. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Oct 29, 2015It sounds like all rooms are mixed up in all boxes. As you open them, make a pile or empty box, for example, for kitchen items or bathroom items and so on. Then take the box for kitchen items to the kitchen or respective room. It's too bad it is going to take a while. Be patient with yourself.Helpful Reply
