We have been blessed with a beautiful foliage this year in New Hampshire. The colors are just breathtaking.
Rather than competing with Mother Nature, I chose to create a Fall Mantel with a subtle, hushed tone.
It may not fit in with traditional fall decor, but instead fits my style. I gathered and placed simple items, varying textures, hints of seasonal colors and touches of greenery.
The sunburst mirror is made from wood shims. I finished it with shades of grays, tans and golds and a final wipe of stain to give it an aged and distressed look.
A cozy, minimalist and rustic look that speaks to me. A sparse grouping of everyday objects that quietly reflect the season at hand.
Enjoyed the project?
