A Primitive Table Gets a New Lease on Life

I've been MIA from Hometalk recovering from feeling under the weather and then catching up on projects for clients. But I'm back! And with one of my favorite before and afters I've had the privilege to work on. A client brought an old, damaged farm table to me to refurbish. It had been built by a member of her family and was a sentimental piece for her. At first glance, it looked beyond repair. In fact, my husband thought I was crazy to even bother working on it. But with a lot of elbow grease, care and patience and of course, paint, I was able to turn the broken table into a sturdy and unique coffee table. Lots of pics and details of how I did it are on the blog! http://www.storywooddesigns.com/2013/03/01/a-new-lease-on-life-for-a-primitive-farm-table/

Lover he new look, but even morre was the fact that neither your client or you gave up on what it could become.

Thanks @Terri J! I will admit that there was a point when I wondered what I'd gotten myself into... but I'm so happy that it turned out the way we envisioned it. @

@Storywood Designs What a great looking table. I love how you kept the character and added class to it. The table top looks terrific and the painting of the lower portion is very professional. It still looks like a cherished family heirloom Good job. Thanks for sharing, this is truly an inspirational piece :)
