Karen Adcock on Oct 29, 2015Fabric stores like Joanns, carry upholstery grade foam. It can be cut easily with an electric knife...like what you have but never use for your Thanksgiving turkey. Cover with a piece of batting and then make your cover with a fashion fabric. Instead of webbing, I use a piece o ply would cut to fit. I find that over time the webbing sags. If you still want the webbing, this can also be found at Joanns.Helpful Reply

Lau2114177 on Oct 29, 2015Try calling an upholsterer for the strechable webbing. You can also ask the upholsterer to make cushions or if you are talented enough, you can make them yourselfHelpful Reply

Hope Williams on Oct 29, 2015You can order foam and proper webbing off the internet. Upholstery folks are an unnecessary 3rd middle man. Search reupholstering supplies. Your hardest choir is the rating of the foam. Research that first. It's super easy. I just purchased new foam for my sofa, it was $60 total!Helpful Reply

Lori Harmon on Nov 01, 2015I also like DIY for their free swatches and good videos. Sailrite puts out great videos (1 just on foam, and a few on cushions), has nice fabrics ($1 swatches) and all the supplies you'd need - can be expensive, but great service and to keep getting great videos are enough for me to spend a bit more. Toto, like the dog, fabrics.com has free swatches that you can get in batches of 12, some very good prices on remnants, often commercial grade so not always the softest stuff, but good with kids and pets. Don't look for the most fashion forward, but if you're going for something more true to the period, they'd be good. They do an exceptional job with the verbal descriptions which helps with monitor color issues and they send out a yard or more of free fabric with every order. I've been very lucky with their random selections - last order included 3 yards of a faux silk that I'm using on my 6 dining room chairs! Another free-bee may redo my bar stool seats - if only the fabric would actually do the redo, Only problems with the free yards are that they are pulled at random by the warehouse people so no way to order more or find out the fabric content, oh and then if you like them like I have, you have to go find places to use them. BTW I'm not affiliated with them in any way - only a happy customer.Helpful Reply
