Can you use basic quickcrete to make a wood fired pizza oven

Janet Pizaro on Oct 29, 2015I found many different answers and none of them said no, however I would rather you read them yourself just to be safe as there are chemicals in these products.Helpful Reply

Anya on Oct 29, 2015If you are looking to build your own pizza oven, contact Greg Shuck at Louisville Fire Brick Works. (502) 363-2656 We have the materials you will need and he has helped many others with their projects. I note that you are in Eastern Kentucky. We have a plant in Carter County so, hopefully, that is close to you. BTW Jeremy, Quikcrete is not rated for the temperatures achieved in a wood fired pizza oven.Helpful Reply

Jim Saurman on Oct 31, 2015The temps involved would make the concrete crack and spall terribly. It would be useless in a couple weeks. Use bricks.Helpful Reply
