Gardening on a Budget. Using ebay finds and kerb side throw outs as containers. I made the bird feeders and bird bath from whatever I had at hand.
ebay wheelbarrow
Cedar book case as garden bed planted with Dusty Miller and Cornflowers. The metal boxes at front were kerb side finds. I planted them with Pansy seedlings.
Plastic trug as planter with annual Salvias.
Kerb side find - metal case, planted with succulents. The one in the centre is Purple Blob. Broken crockery to decorate
Free industrial terracotta pipe as bird bath base. Pot saucer as bath. Currawong drinking

Carole on Nov 02, 2015@Hannah V Thanks. Australia does have some amazing birds. The white bird in this photo is a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. It can raise the yellow crest on its head. We also get Kukaburras which are a member of the Kingfisher family and live in urban as well as rural areas. They have a distinct very loud call like a laugh and sound like a load of monkeys when they start up. Cackling and carrying on. We also get King Parrots which are emerald green on their backs/wings with lighter green bar on the wings and orange head, neck and breast and underparts. They are very striking.
