Help ! I can't afford to replace this ugly strip 8 light in my bathroom. Is there something I can do to spruce it up or better yet cover it up!

I've seen a few blogs with ideas, one took it down taped off the electrical parts, then spray painted the light bar. You can change the light bulbs, there are so many types and shapes. Good luck

You can paint , or decoupage the bar. I pasted peacock pictures on mine to match my peacock powder room! You may be able to add fancy small globes to the bulbs. Or make something to surround the bulbs that hold up to heat! Someone on here used cutting board mats to make new fixtures. Good luck! Hugs

Your best bet is to spray paint the light.

Check out this link-http://wowbathroomideas.net/bathroom-lighting-lowes/vanity-light-refresh-kit-bulb-64149/ Looks like a very easy fix. Used to see them in Home Depot & Lowes, not sure they still Cary but you'd likely find it online

Bobbie can you share a photo of the placement of the fixture? We had one in our last home. I have an idea for using picture frames that would be easier to show you if I had a picture of your fixture in your bathroom so I could draw on it.

@Z I agree. Pictures would be very useful.

@Bobbie, that's great. You may be surprised what you find. If you don't like the color you can always spray paint it.

Maybe you could add glass beads, seashells, old jewelry accents.
