How to DIY a Daybed
by

When we went about creating a "tween" room for my oldest daughter, the one thing she really wanted was a daybed with a trundle. So we "Frankensteined" her one from vintage bed frame pieces, upholstery and a shelf.

Linda T on Aug 25, 2014One little thought. To tie it together even more, make a cushion cover with 'woven satin ribbons', different widths, but the exact colours of the bed cover and other pillows. i.e., all the colours but the turquoise. It takes a bit of time to get the weave tight enough to be beautiful and stable, but well worth the effort. My daughter's bedroom years ago was turquoise, peach and black. The pillow was gorgeous and went with her others and her sheets too.
