cheap way 2 light my driveway ?had solar lights and someone keeps stealing them !on a strict budget so cant afford to hire electriction

I would look in your Home Improvement stores for closeout lighting. Perhaps what you save on the lights then it may allow you to get some help for installation.I would also check your local paper for those looking for employment in the electrical field you never know.

If you know of any hunters maybe they have a trail cam they could set up (not to be seen by the thief) and you could get a picture of him/her. Most take pictures and there is no flash or anything that would give it away. Horrible when people can't leave other peoples stuff alone.

Your question is quite a broad one. But on a path light it will light 8-10' and on a wall (well) light can light up 20' depending on the distance.... If you want a countiuation of light place them closer. If you want dark spot place them far apart ... And so on. Now take the distance and divide. This will give a number of light. Base the watt on the bulb times the fixtures will give you total watts for the transformer.... Don't max out the transformer.....

Have you thought about a solar lamp post? Not sure what you want to spend. For about $200 the Lamp post is about 6' tall with multiple solar lamps. These actually have a support that screws about a foot into the ground. The up front cost may save you in the long run.

Glow-In-The-Dark paint. Spray or brush the edges of the driveway with the paint. It works like solar lights but it's painted on instead so they can't steal it. :)

Paint some big rocks along your drive with the luminous glow in the dark paint.

We bought an as seen on TV "Light Angle" which is a motion activated LED light that is battery operated. We attached it to our front porch and aimed it where we needed light. Under $15.00. Works great.

What about rope lights down the driveway? You can get them on sale at department stores such as Big Lots for around $5 a strand.

We put solar light in the posts by the driveway, drilled a hole and cemented the lights in, used a cheaper light as some of ours had been stolen. Also a solar spotlight mounted on the house pointed down on the driveway would work

We bought a battery activated, motion detecting outdoor light for a reasonable price through Costco. The one light, which has 2 LED bulbs lights up our entire backyard. We mounted it to our siding on our house. You could do the same to the front of your house. Not sure where exactly your driveway is located but you could attach them to the front of your garage or even a wood fence if you have one near by.
