Recycled use for your old towels. Create your own design!
These are very easy and fast to do.
Boring, right!?!
This is what you need :Bleach and a dye bottle. I have an old bottle that I used for hair dye. It works very well. The hole is small enough.
For circular patterns: Use a toilet paper roll, a smaller roll of paper, and a cup for the bleach.
I bleached this one outside. The sun accelerates the bleaching reaction, so the bleach is more effective. The result is more white.
Here you will see the color difference. This I bleaching inside the house. It's more pink! I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did!
Enjoyed the project?

If she is only using shapes dipped into bleach, I don't think it would be enough to cause the material to fall apart. Love the idea of doing this on my granddaughter's jeans.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
What did you use for the second, pinker, design as a template? Do just make simple "outlines" from shapes you form from cardboard etc, or do you use stencils?
What is your ratio of bleach & water? I think if straight bleach is used, you will get holes in the towels. After the design, do you wash in cold water & vinegar to set the design? How much water to vinegar? Great idea, thank you, but I need more information.
