I am usually very good about it, but I got the fire ready to go about 2 hours earlier, and then went down to light it right before making supper. since it was all ready, I got out of the routine of opening it.

Oh I'm that way too. If something interrupts my routine then watch out. I didn't use to be that way. When the kids were little and I had way more responsibility than I do now I could do everything I needed to do and still keep everyone else in line. Now I'm lucky if I can remember what I came into a room for let alone if someone interrupts me on the way. Then I don't even know where I was going.
