I love the color choices and the "pop" of blue is excellent! :)

I love the blue. Of course, I may not be the best judge. My home office is bright blue, and has been compared to a kindergarten.

That's right BSB, if they like it, we love it (-j

Steve, it sounds like the boy has a dad that picks colors they both like. Nice new pic!

The blue reminds me of pics of old doors in Provence. Lovely!

I'm not a huge fan of "White" kitchens, and at first I was a little off on the use of the large walnut island, when the long angle shoot is seen the island looks good with the floor but the left / right contrast of the blue and white seems too lopsided to me.

Bringing some of the blue onto those large barren white expanses with some mitered applied moldings in blue would tie the left and right sides together...The lower blue of the island could stand alone if the blue china cabinet was white.

KMS I need you. Nobody except me will like my PINK (no barren white expanses) bedroom.

I still have 35" white formica with a chair rail below the NEW PINK walls which kept my children (boy/girl dogs) from ruining walls). This worked.

    Ceiling is still white.

White Chair rail and moulding have been removed. What color would you recommend for chair ...»

rail and moulding in the pink room?

This is not a trick question. YOU DON"T LIKE PINK?

Sherrie...I would need to see some pics....Here in my town we have a small Mom and Pop Restaurant that is mostly bright yellow with some pink trim. Its attractive in a funky kind of way.

@Sherrie you might find that you will get some really diverse and interesting feedback if you start a new discussion, being it is under this heading you are missing a lot of opportunity for others to give you feedback :)

I like blue, but here it is too strong. Something needs to tie it in with the rest of the kitchen. Perhaps, repeating the fabric on the pillows in view 3 on the window and again on the stools. It should also be repeated on the counter to tie the two together.

@ Beverly, I agree, the balance is very off here. This was not a project that I was comfortable with, but I had to back down .. homeowner is thrilled and that is really what matters. We do not have to live there :)

I agree with Peace Painting Co - I like the use of blue as an accent color but I'm not sure I would have picked that particular shade of blue.

Or I might have used blue differently. It's perfect for the island (as they have it) but not for the furniture. Instead, I would have made the backsplash near the sink blue.

Becky Sue, I love blue colors too but this blue is a bit Electric. A softer blue would look great with the rest of the color scheme

Lovely but I would have gone with a softer blue. A younger couple probably would love that shock of blue.

Believe it or not... the brilliant blue island is for a couple of empty nesters.. in their 50's. Guess they still have lotsa life in them :)

I think the blue should have been spread around a little in accessories to pull everthing together. As it stands these big blue pieces seem to stick out like sore thumbs.

I agree Carol .. while the blue is BOLD. Balance would change it all. What do you think here... changing paint color enough?? :) I used the Sherwin Williams Visualizer here

    Impressive Becky Sue.

The color looks so much nicer.

Is the Visualizer program easy to use?

    Thanks, Charles

small learning curve.. you just have to make points/lines to cut out the areas you want to paint and the first and last dot have to connect. i have really enjoyed using it, even for personal projects!
