Therese C on Apr 21, 2013How about my now famous (well within our family it is) never-drop-your-window-washing-rag-again trick? Simply peel the paper off of a maxi pad and stick it to your palm of your hand, then spray the windows and wipe them clean...no muss no fuss and no lint!!Helpful Reply

Comet on Jul 27, 2013Old country fix for gapped and leaking cold air windows---use a wet RAG and work it into the crack between the two window parts and let FREEZE in place. This is a temp fix but will keep your warm inside air inside your house until you can get the windows repaired or replaced. use DRYER LINT as insulation around door and window casings --you can wedge it in smaller places that you can the official stuff. For tubs and showers that absolutely REFUSE to come clean and you have tried everything ELSE--try OVEN CLEANER. Do not try this with any other form of cleaner still on the surface! Make sure your windows are OPEN. Spray on and LET SIT. Rinse off--scrub to get the crud loose if needed. For a drippy faucet that is making you crazy with the plink-plink--take a string or shoelace and tie it to the faucet and let the water flow down into the sink, No more plink!Helpful Reply

Marilyn Highley on Jul 27, 2013Do you know about using a raw potato to remove a broken light bulb from the socket? When a light bulb is broken and the base is still screwed in place, make sure the switch is off, then shove a raw potato onto the broken part, then twist to loosen and remove the broken base.Helpful Reply
