My Whimsical Christmas Tree

When I think of the word whimsical, I think of playful, fun, and unpredictable. All of those words definitely describe my Christmas tree. For years, I have stuck with the traditional red, white and green when decorating my tree. While those colors are my all time favorites, my tree is far from traditional.
To me, a Christmas tree speaks about the people in the home...like it has something to say. For me, this one {there are a few others in our house too that you will see at a later time!} speaks of the fun in our home. It speaks of the light hearted go with the flow lifestyle that you have to have with 2 crazy toddlers. It isn't well planned out or choreographed. It is just literally thrown together, about like myself!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
It's a little wild and crazy! When I am decorating it, I put the ribbon on first..and then I just go wild. I stick ornaments, picks, Christmas home decor, etc all over the tree! I like it to be spontaneous! I have a little of any and everything, and that is just the way I like it! I seem to add a little more each year, and I always wonder when I will think I have it "too full." I really don't know that I will ever think that. I know this look isn't for everyone, but it is perfect for us :)
This is just a little sneak peek into my living room, which will be showcased on the Christmas Home Tour coming Friday! I hope you will come back and join me again to see a few other areas of my home all decked out!
This elf shoe {I think that is what it is?!} has always been one of my favorites! I got it after Christmas one year on sale really cheap. Isn't it the cutest?! After Christmas sales are my very favorite!!

And of course...there is nothing more beautiful than a tree all lit up at nighttime! It makes me feel so warm and cozy inside! I absolutely love this time of year.
And for good measure...I had to throw this precious one in of Princess Elsa {yes, that is a wig} and my little man. The thing I love the most about this one is that it was un staged. I was trying to get my camera settings right, and I asked them to stand in front of the tree and look at it so I could snap some pictures, and the next thing I knew, they were being all precious on me.
So there you have it, folks! I am in love with the way it turned out this year. It is a wild and fun addition to our living room, and I can't wait for you to see the rest of the space, as well as a few others this Friday for the Home Tour Part 1.

What do you think about it?
