Hummingbird Feeder with a silk rose

Easy
I found this wonderful hummingbird feeder at Lowe's. I didn't want to use red food coloring in my sugar-water so I attached a silk flower from Hobby Lobby to the hook above it and I had hummers literally within minutes. The little plastic cup above it is to keep the ants away. We just fill it with water. My husband put it together with a half round plastic sphere.

Yes Vetsy, my hummers leave if there are ants in the water or on the feeder. I hope it helps you!

The hummingbirds don't need red food/water. Sugar water is fine. It's the red color they go for; thus the red "flower" openings on most. Yours are a beautiful copper, so the rose does the trick. Beautiful, and thanks for the tip on the "anti-ant cup"!
