SLS Construction & Building Solutions LLC on Mar 11, 2013Rip it up & scrape it with a razor As for any residue, well that depends on what you want to do with that area later - in most cases the razor will remove almost all of it & normal activities will wear off what's leftHelpful Reply

SLS Construction & Building Solutions LLC on Mar 11, 2013I used to do hundreds of yards a day sometimes; outdoors, commercial buildings, and even houseboats - once you get it started just pull. If it is a large area cut it into strips. As for the scraper, we generally used a 12 or 18" handheld scraper with a 5" blade. You can easily pick one up at your lumberyard though the ones we used had either 2 or 3 screws holding the blade which you can pick up or order at most flooring tool suppliers. It really isn't that hard, it just takes putting your nose to the grindstone & getting it done.Helpful Reply

Supernewf on Mar 11, 2013Thanks Al. When the weather gets warmer I will try that. It's not that big, maybe 4' x 4' and 3 or 4 steps.Helpful Reply

Window Replacement Orange County on Mar 11, 2013It's a really embarrassing situation, when you want to use something new and the older one does not want to go. I think you are worried and going through the same situation. The best use is to tear it and scrap it to remove from there. If you do not want to do it yourself, then I am sure contacting some professional for this will pay for you.Helpful Reply
