What would you do with this?

Lyn2398900 on Nov 28, 2015Besides leaving it the way it is, paint it a color of your choice and use it as a plant stand. Low growing on the bottom and tall or draping ones on top. Would save room that way too. I don't like complicated redo's, so this might be too simple!Helpful Reply

Sandra on Nov 29, 2015Paint each check alternately black and white. All the rest, paint red. Or, I'd not red, black. I think it's good to use the checkerboard to give it some character. Don't forget to seal the checker biard at the very lease.Helpful Reply

Donna on Nov 29, 2015One option: definitely paint it, because the surface looks outdated. You could use it as a centerpiece by filling each layer with appropriate greenery and decorations for each season. For instance, you could build a little Christmas village with fake snow, little buildings and pine trees! Or cover each tier with moss and create a fairy garden with little houses and elves. Three: use broken pieces of glass or ceramic tile and grout to make a mosaic design, then use it as a serving tray or to display small items or plants.Helpful Reply

Karen Rydzewski on Nov 29, 2015Great for Christmas decorating coming up! Add some greenery either from evergreens in your yard or from craft store. Add led battery candles, a few pine cones and voila!Helpful Reply

Elisa on Nov 29, 2015I would paint an accent color to coordinate with your decor, and make the circle at the top a highlight, then use it for different purposes seasonally as others suggest. If you celebrate Christmas, it's got a great tree shape in the making, place potted plants to fill in and cascade off of it add ornamental birds, ribbon lights etc. If you plan to entertain place it on a buffet table and fill it with whatever you are serving desserts, fruits, cheeses, breads it wil make a stunning food display, you put wine or cordials and stemware on it for drink service. You could mix in candles, pine cones...so many possibilities!Helpful Reply

Tammy Trish on Nov 29, 2015I see a bird feeder. Whack off the legs, drill a few small holes for drainage, add dried mealworms to the top and a great seed mix on bottom and hang where you can see it from your favorite seat in the living room. Winter is coming and it'll be a busy feeder. Of note, you may want to spray it with a clear coat of some sort to help protect it from the elements.Helpful Reply

DJ on Nov 29, 2015I would paint it a terra-cotta green color and then use it for all kind of decorations. For the Season get some poinsettias, then greenery to drape over the sides, put a red ribbon at the top would be beautiful..maybe even some twinkle lights through out or cupcakes, fruits/vegetables, a rock display. Or for say Mother's day do a floral display...so many options great buy. Good Luck!Helpful Reply

Cheryl DeBellis on Nov 29, 2015Not for sure how big it is but you could take the legs off, paint it to match your decor and use on your dresser as a bracelet and ring tray. I made one out of plates and bowls bought from Kohl's and spray painted some glass ice cream bowls. Works great for my jewelry!Helpful Reply

Use it for entertaining on a buffet table - cookies, cupcakes etc. I'd spray it different colors - use it for any collection you may have, postcards ,pictures or just decorate for holidays. Amy on Nov 30, 2015If you don't like the look, use a water soluble paint and use it as a crayon/marker caddy for your kids/grandkids. Or, get some large paper doilies, Madge pudge them to the plates and use it as a coffee table or side table!Helpful Reply

Gloria tulip on Dec 01, 2015It could be used to place your costume jewelry. When tucked away in a drawer it is easy to forget what we have. This actually would look better painted. I would spray paint in a color to match the colors used in the room in which it will be placed. .Helpful Reply

Snapoutofit on Dec 03, 2015I love this. I have a wrought iron one, three tier, that I have in my bathroom on the counter in a corner. First, it adds some height and fills in the space, but secondally, I can put my cosmetics on it, etc. If it is real wood, I am not sure if it would be good in a bathroom with the moisture though. Does the wood look reflect your decor? If it doesn't, I would paint it to coordinate with the room. It has very modern lines and I can see it being painted a shiny black.Helpful Reply

Riki Nutting on Feb 02, 2016I would spray it to go with my decor and use a corresponding color fabric floral print to decoupage the tiers. Maybe even use a gold paint or gold leaf on the edges. I may try to remove the big circle on top.Helpful Reply
